Computer shut down

Hi I have a problem with my computer and would like to know if anyone knows
what I can do before I take it to be service. I started to notice my power
light going. Its no longer bright blue anymore. In fact, you barely can see
it on now. I was working on the internet and it was only 5 mins and my whole
computer shut down. I tried turning back on and it won't cut on unless I use
the reset button and when you turn it on that way it still only gives you 5
mins to do anything before it shuts down again. Any suggestions.

This indicate one thing it is an Overheating issue, your CPU Cooling Fan
gone dead and every time you power up it take the Five (5) minute to9
overheat and shut down to save the system from corruption/damage by the
overheating scenario.

Best if you take it to the service and you may end up buy a new CPU or if
your Local Repair shop kind enough will replace the Thermal component for the
CPU and make cool better, but this no guarantee that the CPU is healthy.
HTH.

It might NOT be a faulty CPU cooling fan. It might be a faulty power supply.
The fact that your power light is dim suggests that your power supply is no
longer able to supply sufficient current to your PC components (include the
power light itself!).

Probably best if you can take your PC to a local PC hardware supplier and
ask them to check for a faulty power supply
