Computer restarts after being in stand by

Hi, I have my sleep button configured to make my computer "stand by" when i press it. So when i return to use it I just press any key to wake it. Well now since last night when i do this(press any key to wake it) it starts to then stops and goes through the entire process of restarting like it was turned off in the first place. I checked power options and it stil says when sleep button is pushed computer goes into "stand by". I have looked through forum for advice and couldn't find anything. Any advice or related experience would be greatly appreciated.
