Computer not recognising my wireless keyboard.

I've just bought a "Microsoft Wireless MultiMedia Keyboard 1.1". This is
plugged in to the USB port. The problem is, when I turn on my PC it will not
start up as it says that there is not a keyboard connected (or something like
that). The only way I can get round this is by reconnecting my old keyboard
then disconnecting it once it has started up properly. The wireless keyboard
works so why isn't the PC starting up with it plugged in and how can I solve
this?

There should be something called "Legacy USB Support" in the BIOS. Have you
enabled that?

Uh-oh...

Before you do *anything else* find someone you know who's knowledgeable
about computers to help you solve this problem. You can seriously fsck up
your machine mucking about with the BIOS.
