computer not picking up my speakers

I have a dell dimension 2400 computer. I had to reinstall windows xp on my
computer, after doing this everything works fine, except my computer is not
picking up any sound devices. The speakers work fine alone but when plugged
into my computer nothing happens. I went to control panal and under audio
devices it doesn't show anything, it says no audio device. Your help is
greatly appreciated. Thank You

it seems that ur sound card driver is not installed properly !
u have to reinstall ur soundcard drivers !
insert the cd that came with ur sound card and let it autorun
if that doesnt help
check whether windows has detected ur sound card!
by selecting my computer > properties > advanced > device manager !

if there is any exclamation mark or a red cross it means that ur sound card
has problem !
