Hi Enrique,
Thanks for posting!
I understand that you cannot connect to the remote computer with the
computer management application after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Based on the current situation, to isolate the cause efficiently, please
help me know the following information.
1. Can I assume that it works fine before installing SP2?
2. Please help me take a screen shot of the error message when connecting
remote computer.
=========================================
a. Press the Pr Scrn key once on the keyboard when the error message
appears.
b. Click Start, go to Run, enter MSPAINT in the open dialog box, and then
Click OK.
c. Use Ctrl + V to paste the screenshot to the canvas.
d. From the File menu, go to Save and save it as a JPG file.
e. Send the JPG file as an attachment to (e-mail address removed)
3. Does the UNC path: \\computer\ or \\Ip address works fine?
Start->Run-type "\\computer\"
4. Please temporarily disable Windows firewall and other firewall Apps. Can
the issue be reproduced?
For detailed information, please refer to the following ariticle:

If there is anything that is unclear, please feel free to let me know.

| I have two issues with the computer management application.
|
| 1) I am attempting to remotely view information on another computer, but
I
| keep getting a message that states that "Computer \\abc cannot be
managed.
| I verified that both the server service and the computer browser service
is
| running on that machine (XP SP1) but no luck. Why am I unable to access
| this computer?
|
| 2) I am unable to access the Computer Management program on a remote
| computer after installing SP2. What changes should I make so that I can
| access this application?
