computer keeps shutting down

about a week ago the internet connection would not shut off unless the
computer was turned off. Yesterday the system began shutting itself down
after only being on for 1 to 2 minutes. Today the system will only stay on
for 30 seconds. Unable to start up in safe mode, no windows xp disc. I
don't even know what else to do at this point - PLEASE HELP!

My Advice to you, take the Machine to a Local professional Computer shop and
see what they will make of it ( is it repairable or better new one with
Recovery Disk This Time).
And also ask them if it did can they recover the data ( that if you have a
valuable one)
