computer keeps freezing

hi,
I recently purchased windows xp home edition upgraded
from windows me and now my computer freezes all the time.
The mouse gets stuck at all different times. I can just
turn on the computer and it is in stuck mode, it happens
on aol as well. Please let me know how to fix this
problem.

When you installed Xp did you read or save the
compatibility listing it provides? Did you remove or
update software as it required? Did you turn off any of
those items that were listed as potential problems?

Most users blindly go thru the installation and dont pay
attention to what they are being shown.

If you are experiencing problems like these listed, you
have likely a driver, or piece of software running that
was not fully compatible, or requires an update. You
should be running aol 7 or higher to be completely sure
you dont have issues in XP.

Post a listing if you saved it of items the XP
installation told you to address and what the current
status is of those issues.
