computer just reboots

Hello ... well my computer just all of the suddon rebooted ..... no warning not even a blue screen of death it just tunred of and robooted, can you tell me possible problems why this would be happening .... a freind told me he had this problem and he just formated his hard drive and reinstalled windows and it has worked fine since .... well i cant reinstall everything right now and would just like to know what might be wrong. thank you

If you didn't see a Blue Screen:

Right click on My Computer. select Properties and then Advanced tab. Click on Settings under 'Startup and Recovery' and disable 'Automatically restart'. Next time your PC reboots you should see a Blue Screen. Could you please post the Stop Code that accompanies the BSOD? With that your problem could be isolated.
