Computer has 2 different NAMES???????

Hi,

On the Windows XP Pro Welcome Screen; I get the computer
having 2 different names in the lower left corner!! When
I first turn on the computer and before logging onto any
of the 5 accounts I have set up; the lower Left corner
says "Turn off computer", where the name is
really "computer". But then after I log onto one of the
accounts and then log back out of to the welcome screen;
the lower left says "Turn off Dell Family Computer", where
the name listed is "Dell Family Computer". I do remember
typing in the Dell Family Computer, when setting up my
network interface to a cable modem, but why is the other
name "computer" still in the system and how do I get rid
of it??? Also, a little while ago, whenever the
name "computer" was listed, I could not successufully shut
down Windows and had to power down the computer holding
the on/off button.

Help??????

Thanks
Dana

"Turn Off Computer" on the Welcome screen is not a name, rather it is a
command option as in, you can choose to turn off the computer as opposed to
logging in. Not sure of why the difference when you log off as opposed to
when you boot to the Welcome screen but it may simply be a cosmetic item
that Dell has incorporated into the setup.

I don't know about the shutdown issue, it may simply be coincidental because
as I said, what you are seeing is not a name but a command option.
