Computer hangs (freezes) after installing updates

After installing critical updates KB832894 and Q828028 my computer started to hang (freeze) whenever it wants to. Sometimes after a short while, other times after up to 6 hours. Any type of program run will cause it to hang, whether I'm defragging, working with music files, whatever
I checked for unsigned or conflicting drivers (sigverif): none. I ran scannow. I ran Windows repair and setup, every time reloading all updates. No joy
I then uninstalled both the above updates and my computer is OK again

Did anyone else have the same problem?
