Whenever I play any real game (Age of Empires/Warcraft
etc), my computer will let me play for a few minutes just
fine, but then just freezes. It has happened with many
games, and sometimes videos. It stinks. I have downloaded
the latest drivers for my NVidia Geforce2 card. Ijust
dont know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Are you overclocking your PC. XP in general does not like
overclocking and can cause it to freeze.

Also, try updating your sound drivers.
You could go into Safe mode and try loading the game (it
will be difficult to play because the res will be really
bad). Leave the game for a while and see if it freezes. If
it doesn't then a driver is the culprit.

Failing that, go into Safe Mode. Uninstall your Nvidia and
sound drivers. Reboot and reinstall the latest drivers.

Regards,

Tim.

P.S> Try taking the lid off your machine and play that
way. This will test if the problem is due to overheating.
