computer freezes and sudenn restarts

my computer freezess lots ,,mainly when i first turn it on,and then it works
perfect.iv recently put in a new hardive,becouse i had the same problem but
worse,then it would crash and i would have to reeboot a lot of times to get
on ,,its driving me mad any idies anyone please ,,,,

Halts and restarts can be tricky to narrow down if it is software related.

How often is it doing it? Any noticable patterns? Have you looked at the
logs (Event Viewer) for possible clues?

Have you looked monitored temperatures? More often than not, halts and
restarts are hardware related. Do some house cleaning: check the air flow,
clean all your fans (including power supply fan), reseat your all your RAM,
ect..
