Compressed folder with .js files: extraction blocked

N

Neel

Hello, I'd be very grateful if any one could help me with a problem (wholly
my own fault). I have compressed a folder of harmless files I authored
myself, including several with the .js extension. I would like to extract
them again, but when I try to do so using the Extraction Wizard, I receive
this Windows Security Warning: "Windows has blocked access to these files to
help protect your computer."

Windows Help (an article titled "How blocking some attachments helps protect
your computer") suggests that the .js files are to blame. It advises me how
to open a file that's been blocked (right-click, Properties, Unblock), but
not a folder: there's no Unblock option in a folder's Properties dialogue box.

Please can any one tell me how to unblock a compressed folder?

Can you open the folder, press Ctrl/A to select all, right-click and get
the "Unblock" option? Then try to decompress again. I've never tried
this before; it's just an idea I had..

Thanks for this suggestion, Joe. But I'm afraid the files contained in the
zipped folder aren't displayed when I open it: I'm simply given the option to
extract them (which I can't do). That is to say, there's no 'all' to select.
