I was playing an old game and fund a site with some new map files for Panzer
Genral. I downloaded them and tryed to run it and after several hours of
uninstalling and reinstalling I realized that the files were blocked because
they were downloaded. The windows help is .... well not helpful, it says to
click on the propeties on the file and unblock it. BUT I HAVE 400 MAP
FILES!!!!!!

Is there a way to select all the files and unblock all of the files at one
time or am I stuck manually unblocking each file one at a time??????

To save some time I have all ready tried the following
1. tried clicking the properties on the folder ( no luck it doesnt give
you the option to unblock the folder or any files.)
2. I have tryed selecting al of the files in the folder and click atibutes,
( no luck again it doesnt give me the option to
The files are downloaded in a ZIP file which i open to a specific folder.
any help would be appricated.

Did you get the manual?

Move the file to a FAT32 partition (if available), and then move it back to
the original location. This resets the zone information (NTFS streams) for
that file.

Other options:

1. If the file is available for download, use a third-party browser or
download manager to download the file.

2. Use WinZip or any other 3rd party zip handler to open/extract the files
in the archive.

3. Use the "streams" utility (from www.sysinternals.com) to clear the zone
information for that file. Thanks to Torgeir Bakken for this tip.

4. Enable the "Do no preserve zone information in file attachments"
Attachment Manager Policy settings using Group Policy Editor (for Windows XP
Professional). This step, however, is *not recommended*, and may leave your
PC insecure.

More information about this Policy setting:

<Q>
This policy setting allows you to manage whether Windows marks file
attachments with information about their zone of origin (i.e. restricted,
Internet, intranet, local). This requires NTFS in order to function
correctly, and will fail without notice on FAT32. By not preserving the zone
information Windows cannot make proper risk assessments.

If you enable this policy setting Windows does not mark file attachments
with their zone information.

If you disable this policy setting Windows marks file attachments with their
zone information.

If you do not configure this policy setting Windows marks file attachments
with their zone information.
