compaq3045us from xp home to xp pro lost audio drivers

I purchased a compaq presario 3045us with windows xp home
i wanted to change to xp pro,I could not do upgrade so i
did an install from scratch ,install worked except audio
drivers,and modem drivers did not show ,up none were
installed with xp pro it seems that with presario laptops
and xp home there is a proprietary method of installing
the audio and modem drivers ,can anyone provide any
insight
I am presently waiting for restore discs to arrive at my
ranch
