do U know anything about this atapi cd-rom? I think that's probably a 40X
and using Nero CD Speed I've seen that is not slower than a 52x LG. Have you
some certain datas about?

It is a Liteon 40X drive, LTN-403 is the Liteon part number. It is no
longer made, is now at least 2-3 generations old. If you wanted
benchmarks then Google search it.
