CD-RW Speed check

Hi

I have a SONY CRX-230E burner, that is supposed to burn at a speed of 52x

I have a batch of Memorex 52x blank CD-R discs, but when I go to burn
anything my PINNACLE software only offers me a speed of 12x

Is it the software, or the drive I should be addressing?

Thanks.

Nik.

Software, see if there's an update for newer drive support.

Address both.

Get Nero...it has a speed checker.

Also, visit Sony's site and see if there is any firmware update for
that drive.

Good luck.

Have a nice week...

Thanks, as usual, for your help Guys.

I got a copy of Nero 6, and I upgraded the Firmware for the drive. BINGO, it
now reports a max speed of 52x.

Cheers

Nik.
