Comp keeps system scanning on start

Everytime I start my computer it does a system scan to my H drive, that is my
second drive. My OS is on my C drive, before it starts ( the one that
happens when u hit the reset button). I shut it down properly and it still
does it. is there anyway to turn it off from starting when I start my comp.

When I went to run a defrag it told me that H drive has schedualed a Chkdsk
to run how do I unschedual it.
