Problem with operating system on the wrong drive

D

Hey guys, okay, so basically, I screwed up and have no idea how. My comp
originally was a Windows 98 machine, and I used the Windows XP Home Edition
Upgrade, and for some reason, my operating system is on my D drive, which of
course has the least amount of memory, so I'm in a jam. I wanted to be able
to have it on my C drive, but I lost my product key. I don't know how to
make sure it runs on my C drive, which has about 27 GB while my D drive has
2.72. I can't even put a office program on my comp cuz I don't have enough
memory. What do I do? And, on top of that, I have 2 o's, so when my comp
starts up, it asks me if I want to use 98 or XP. Can anyone help me fix my
problem? How do I even start?

Google for Magic Jelly Bean and you can easily find your product key...
but it is unlikely you lost it as it's on the plastic case you keep your XP
cd in

Also...your terminology is incorrect...
free space on your drive has nothing to do with memory.

If you still have your win98 cd however, you are in luck.

NOW...back up all your data either to cd/dvd's or an external drive.

Now bootup with your XP cd and delete all partitions on the drive and start
over with one NTFS partition
and allow the full format.
You can now use install XP. You will be asked to supply a qualifying product
and at that time you will need to insert the win98 cd for verification
