combo dv cd rom drive does not recognize any cd

since I have window xp on my laptop, suddenly the cd drive does not read any cd
I don´t think its a hardware, but a driver problem, its a combo drive mashita ujda 730

anyone can help
 
We do have the exact same problem. Did anyone come up with some solutions?
