Color Pictures in Slides not printing properly with Office 2003

Steve

Just upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003. Powerpoint
2000 projects with large color pictures when opened in
Windows 2000 now with Powerpoint 2003 do not print
properly. It takes the picure and prints it three times
on the same slide and squashes it. If I print it in
grayscale it looks fine. It has done this on several
different color printers.

On note it does not seem to be happening on or XP
machines with Office 2003.

Hello,

This is a known problem with interaction between GDI+ and the Windows
Spooler. Until a fix is available from the Windows team, the workaround is
to turn off the option to print your presentations in the background in
PowerPoint:

1) Tools -> Options
2) In the "Print" tab, uncheck the "Background printing" option
3) Click "OK"
