color [laser] printer recommendation

I'm looking to buy a color printer for volume printing (1000 pages
per month approx). What printer has cheaper printing cost without
giving up the quality too much. I could spend at most a 1000 dollars
for it. Any suggestions?

Okidata 5500 is great. I have the older 5100.

I never heard of the Oki 5500! There is a 5400 for about $1000.Not bad,but
not the best buy.The Samsung 500 series can be found for under $500,and I
prefer its print!
