Codec not installed on Movie Maker

Hello, I have an mpg file and want to import into movie maker. I try to
import however Movie Maker says that I dont have the codec installed. I can
view the mpg within media player without a problem because it says it
acquired the codec.

I have the option "automatically download codecs" in Movie Maker checked but
it does not download the required codec like Media Player does.

It does not tell me what codec it is either so I dont know what to do.

Any ideas?
