Code 12 issue with NEC PCI to USB open host controller

Hi,

I have an Asus X58L Notebook that came with Vista Business.
It has an XP Pro downgrade which I ran a rollback to XP Pro using the disk.
So it currently has XP Pro with SP3 and all the latest updates from Microsoft.
It also came with drivers CD and all seems well until I installed the PCMCIA
adaptor card in the PCI card slot.

This card is for a Bigpond 7.2 wireless express card.
The express card is a 34mm while the adaptor is a 54mm PCMCIA card.
I ran the software and incerted the card when directed to by the software
and about 10 second later the Notebook rebooted.

I have been through the troublshooter and tried many things even
reinstalling Vista by the recovery CD and then running the XP downgrade disk
again but still have the same problem.
Even had the same issue in Vista as I tried to install the card before
rolling back to XP.

Tried updating the driver but it always directs me to the MS updates and I
have all the latest updates.
It also says no other drivers are available as I am using the best driver
forthis device.
I have however mange to get to the stage where I can incert the card and it
does not reboot the PC.
Oh yeah and if I leave the card installed and reboot I get a blue screen
error and it does not boot into windows unless I eject the card.

Now on the message in device manager I get code 12 and 10.
Code 12 states "The device cannot find enough free resources that it can
use" (Code 12)
"If you want to use this device you need to disable one of the other devices
on this system".
Trouble is I don't know what other devices are conflicting with this
particular device?

If it is an IRQ I need to change how do I find out what devices IRQ it's
conflicting with?
I have looked at a few other IRQ device settings and I can see to change
them but the area is greyed out and inaccessable.
Also I have tried the PCMCIA adaptor card in two another Notebooks and it
installs fine with the generic drivers.
I have also sucessfully installed a NetGear WG511 wireless PCMCIA card in
the Asus Notebook in question and it installed fine and works without any
problems.

Code 10 states "This device cannot start" (Code 10).

I just cannot seem to find out what it's problem is and how to resolve it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
