Cobian Backup just saved my bacon

My wife's Toshiba Satellite A15 would not power up. I'd get the power
light for a few seconds then nothing. Tech support's conclusion was
that the power subsystem was hosed.

I had forgotten that a while ago I had set up Cobian Backup 6 on her
computer to grab the My Documents folder and a bunch of other settings
(Her C:\documents and Settings folder "Desktop" "Favorites"
"Application Data" "Cookies" "My Documents". I just checked the backup
to see if it was restorable. The last one was from two nights ago. It's
all there. Halleluiah! Only thing we lost was info from Quicken and
Quickbooks.

Aha! Final note. The laptop is now booting again. Don't ask why.
Dodged the bullet on that one, but you can bet I'm double checking the
backups periodically. Whew!
