closes when virus scanning

when i scan for virus' in mcafee's free scan the window automatically closes, same for trojanscan.com's scanner. is their a virus that could be closing the windows when its detected? i have norton antivirus fully updated and all, plus ad-aware and spywareblaster but they dont detect anything. also my explorer window closes automatically with no warning prompt when im searching through my folders in explorer, My Documents specifically. which is extremely annoying to have windows just close out
