I have a about 15 Win2000 PC's gaining a few
minutes throughout the course of the day.
The other 500 PC's work just fine.

Does anyone know what might be causing this.

I have a "timeserver" setup, it doesn't seem to help.

I know I could run "net time" or "w32tm" in a batch,
but I don't want to do that.

Thanks a lot,
Bruce

Before you look for the actual cause of your problem,
you must determine if your motherboard clock is fast
or if Win2000 is the culprit.

- Turn your machine on, then get into the BIOS. Keep it
there for 8 hours. If the machine gains time then it's
your motherboard. If not then move to the next step.

- Boot into Win2000, set the time, disconnect the machine
from your network and from the Internet. Wait for 8 hours.
If the machine gains time then Win2000 is doing something
strange. If not then you're allowing some external time
source to set the time on your machine.

Thanks You, Pegasus.

I'll have to give this a try.
It sounds very reasonable to me.

Thanks Again,
bruce
