Clip Gallery Cannot Launch the software component....

Hi, I've recently upgraded to Windows XP and installed
Office 97. When I try to import an image or video clip
into a Power Point Slide, I get the error message: Clip
Gallery cannot launch the software component to handle
<path\filename>. When I search microsoft, they say that
windows media player needs to be installed, and it
already is installed. What can I do next? (I am using
Clip Gallery 3.0, and Windows Media Player 8.00.00, and
PowerPoint SR-2). Any help would be GREATLY
appreciated! Thanks
