Clients unable to access domain (server issues)

Hey,

I am hoping someone out there can help.

I run an internet cafe, we have a 2003 server with a dozen xp
workstation machines.

The workstation machines use roaming profiles, normally this works
fantasticly (took a while to get there though!)

A couple of times a week the clients are unable to access the domain,
stating there is no domain controller available. A reboot of the server
fixes this. I see nothing major in the event logs.

This is making me crazy, hope to get some insight from you all!

it could be the DNS issue. do you use internal DNS? For more and other information, go to http://howtonetworking.com.

Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.

I don't suspect the DNS because it works 98% of the time. It is
something that is making the domain unaccessible. Also on server reboot
- everything works fine. Sometimes this happens 1/day sometimes 1/week.
When the clients are unable to access the server, I can remote in to
the server (by name) and reboot it without any problems. I am using AD
integrated DNS and this is the only server in the domain.
