Hi we lost the admin password for a workstation, and need to add it to the
domain
2000 server , 2000 workstation

Can we add this computer to the domain via the server?

I add the computer name, but I cannot manage it. Get message Access is
Denied.
Thanks

You don't need a local admin account to add a PC to a network, just a domain
admin account (or any account that has the permission to add a workstation
to a domain). Now if you're saying you can't log onto the PC because you
don't have a local account to use to log on, that's a different problem and
one you can't solve with or without a domain.

If this is a standalone computer, and you don't know the admin password for
it, you can't join it to the domain til you reset it - then you join it from
the workstation itself, after logging into the local admin account.
