can't see domain at logon only

Hello,
I am running a small LAN (25 pc's) on a windows 2000 server. The DHCP
and DNS are all running off the DC.
I've just added two new computers to the domain. Everything went well until
they were powered down. When the users tried to logon to the domain after
having powered down the message they recieved was that the domain controller
is either not working or not reachable (that's not the exact message, but
I'm translating from French). The strange thing is that I was able to login
as the local admin and take the workstation off the domain. I was promted
for the username and password of a domain account with authority to remove
the workstation from the domain so obviously the domain can be contacted,
but only after I login locally. I was able to add the computer to the domain
again but the same problem will arise after the next power down. So what is
going on? Any ideas?

The DHCP is handing out the address of the DNS. What's wierd is that all the
other stations have the same config, and they logon just fine.
