Client Disconnection

I receive error 'terminal server client disconnected'
after attempting to connect to a Windows 2000 Server via
terminal server client even though I can ping the server
by hostname and IP address. Terminal Service is started on
the server. Any suggestions?

Are there any eventlog entries that would indicate a
problem?

Can you telnet to port 3389 on the terminal server?

telnet <ip_address> 3389
