Win 2000 and IE6. I just removed heaps (250!!!) spyware
files. Clicking on hyperlinks does not work. No response
to the click at all (as opposed to it trying to do
something...). Also, clicking on "New" message in OE
gives me a "memory full" error. There's 256Mb ram, and no
other progs running. Don't know if the two are related,
but...

Thanks folks!

Frank,

This issue occurs if the urlmon and other DLLs are not registered properly.

The following fix solves the problem. Based on MSKB article:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sramesh2k/utils/IEFix.exe

Manual procedure: (Microsoft Knowledge article link)

As for the OE memory full error, disable the background programs and try
again. Also, check the paging file configuration.
