Clean out hard drive

My daughter has downloaded so much stuff on her computer,
that it is running so slow. I have tried deleting all the
stuff, but this has not solve the problem at all. I was
wondering, can I clean out the hard drive and reinstall
my Microsoft XP all over and basically start all over. If
so, could you send me the steps on how to do this.
Thank you so much.

Usually going to disk-cleanup and running that utility
is a start, then go to run, type:cmd At the curser type:
Defrag C: When thats thru type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to
restart.Then type:EXIT Restart computer
You also should go to run, type:%temp% Then edit, select
all,delete all,open internet options in control-panel,
delete cookies, delete files. You need to run these every
week, with new xp or older. But if starting from scratch,
install xp cd,restart comp.boot to cd,recovery,password
is the enter key,at curser type:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs
When its thru type:EXIT XP will try to install or re-
boot to cd,as youve already seen,"install xp"

dont bother deleting everything, just make xp do it once
you decide to. it will format everything douring the setup.
