Clean install

Ok, i've had lots of hardrive problems that arent worth getting into but i
got all the data i want off of it so far. Now, should i take my Windows XP
Pro off too or just do a clean installation after I format the disk? I think
want to install it cleanly but how do i keep my license so i dont have to buy
a new one?
