clean install going no where

Doing a clean install with xp and during the coping files it stopped and said
"setup cannot install file: msvbvm50.dll"

it will not install driver after retrying, not sure if i should skip this
file for future problems.

If you skip a file you may well have future problems, if not immediate
problems.

If a file can not be read the CD is usually defective. In addition to the CD
media, if you have many files that can not be read, the RAM is likely
defective, overclocked or sub-standard.
