"Choose wireless connection" dialog

Hello

When I right click on the wireless icon and select "view available
wireless connections", on my brother's XP I see a dialog like this

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/images/community/columns/cableguy/images
/cg0804_1.gif

that shows a nice overview of wireless connections, their strengths, and
security settings.

I, OTOH, get one like this

http://wwwtest.itc.virginia.edu/wireless/win/images/xpwire-0.jpg

on my XP, which only lists connections. No signal strength, or whether
it's a secure network.

How do I see the first type of dialog?

thanks

You'll need to upgrade your PC to WinXP Service Pack 2. It's a very good
idea for plenty of other reasons. Keep your computer patched to the gills
via Windows Update....and make a backup of your data first, and also do so
on a regular basis.
