I'm using a 'product recovery' CD on an IBM T23 thinkpad.
I just installed Win XP from the latest version of the recovery CD's. After
completely finishing the install, chkdsk won't run at restart on the system
drive. I'm setting up the schedule using the command prompt window and
checking that it's scheduled using chkntfs. On restart, the system appears
to simply boot normally.
I don't have this issue with a previous version of the recovery CD's on a
different hard drive. I.e., I have several hard drives, I'm using one for
my 'production' drive. Another to test the latest version of the recovery
CD's.
I checked the key Local Machine, System, Current Control Set, Control,
Session Manager, BootExecute - it is autocheck autochk*.
Any ideas?
