Chipmunks are in my computer!!

Just received a new computer and I don't know much about it yet. Everytime I play a CD or a music file I've downloaded it seems to be playing to fast. I've tried to find some kind of adjustment in the settings but I'm not having very much luck.
 
Hey Mikey

First, which program are you using to play your cd or music? By any chance you are using "windows Media Player" try the folloing....go to view than click on "enchancements" and go down to "play speed setting". You can ajust the playing speed. That might eliminate them little chipmunks. Goog Luck!!
