Checkboxes Don't Check When Clicked

I have encountered a serious problem recently. Any
program in Windows that has checkboxes, I cannot see the
check marks on these boxes anymore. For example, if I go
to "msconfig.exe" I can't see which boxes are already
checked and which boxes are, because they all show up as
unchecked boxes. This also happens when I'm trying to
install a program, and want to choose which components to
install, but it's hard to tell if I've chosen them or not
since the checkmarks don't show up. However, some
programs such as Windows Media Player are fine when I'm
checking boxes under "Options." Please post a solution
to this problem if you know of one. Thanks.
 
Hi John,

If you have an nVidia card and have recently updated the driver, try a roll
back.
