I HAVE A WORKSHEET THAT HAS FOUR COLUMNS AND ABOUT 100 ROWS. I WANT TO BE
ABLE TO CLICK ON A CELL IN A COLUMN WITH THE MOUSE TO PLACE A CHECK MARK OR
ANY TYPE OF CHARACTER AND THEN CREATE A FORMULA TO COUNT HOW MANY CELLS ARE
CHECKED. IS THERE ANY WAY TO USE THE MOUSE TO PUT ANY TYPE OF CHARACTER IN
THE CELLS.

There is no need to SHOUT. This newsgroup is for questions pertaining to
Microsoft Word. Are you really trying to use Word to perform the task you
describe? If so, may I suggest that Word is not the best application for
this task.

You need to post this in an Excel NG. This one is for Word. And don't SHOUT.
