Chaning location of My Music!!!!

Hey there, I just bought a new Hard Drive and I want to
use it to store My Music. Can I have My Music on my new
hard drive? So when I click on My Music on the taskbar or
from the My Documents folder it will go to the My Music
Folder on my new drive???

Download and install TweakUI for Windows XP. You can change it from within
the programs. "Special Folders"

In the registry editor, change the value of:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders\My Music

to be a valid path. Log off and back on, and you should be cool.

As you would presumably like to move your present My Music files there,
do it by opening a My Computer window on the
C:\Documents and Settings\you\. . .
to show it, and another on the new drive, then *right* drag it across,
and take *Move* here. That will move files and update the registry as
well
