Folders "My Music" and "My Pictures" on secundairy hard drive

Hello,
I am going to buy an extra hard drive (X:) for movies, music and photos.
Some programs (such as sony picture package and i-tunes) automatically store
their pictures or music within the "My Pictures" or "My Music" folder. These
folders are located within the "My Documents" folder on my original hard disk
(C:), where Windows is installed. So this way I will still store my pictures
and music on (C:).

Can I just move the "My Pictures" and "My Music" folders from C: to X:? Or
does this mess up the "documents and settings" of Windows?

Alternatively: Is there a way to place the "My Pictures" and "My Music"
folders on the X: drive when (re)installing Windows?

I hope you guys can help!

Thanks,
Hendrik

Download and install TweakUI:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP >
TweakUI. Expand "My Computer" and click on "Special Folders".
You can easily change the location of your folders there.

Yes you can and, it does not mess up Documents and Settings which should
indeed stay on the system drive. It would be easier to right click the My
Documents folder and from the properties of this folder, change the location
of the drive, this will move My Documents and all under it to the new drive.

Yes you can do it during a 'silent' install, no need to do it that way for
this as its' probably much easier to do so post installation, at any stage
of it.
I hope you guys can help!
