Just installed XP-Pro for a client, Joe Longlastname. When it got to the
part where you enter the username, "Joe" wasn't an alternative. I believe
this is because I used "Joe" for the computer name when I set up
networking. So I made the username Joe Longlastname. After I got the
installation all done, I went into "Users" and it let me change Joe
Longlastname back to just "Joe". However in Documents and settings, his
folder is still "Joe Longlastname". I tried to rename the folder, but
windows said it was a system file and couldn't be renamed.
Is there a way to get around this?
No, his first name isn't Joe and his last name isn't......
You get the drift.
