Howdy,
I am the only person using my notebook system.
In Control Panel | Users, there is only one entry. It
appears as my first name (only).
The system is set to log me on automatically, that is with
no log on screen, and with no entry of a password.
If I logoff, to my surprise, I am asked if I wish to log off
with my full name.
So, for example, in Control Panel | Users, there is an entry
for only one person: "Joe", but when I log off, the name
logging off appears as "Joe Blow."
How might this happen? That is, where is the log off name
coming from if not that of the (only) user.
All of this is of significance because I got tangled up with
a piece of software that asked for the UserName, and when I
entered my first name only, it rejected it.
Sincere thanks for any information on this,
