changing printer settings

Hi all,
can someone tell me if you setup a networked printer and
connect the users to it, then if you change a printer
setting such as continous feed on the server then do all
the users have to delete that printer and set it up again
in order for the changes to be effective?

usually a change like that will propogate to client machines, since you said
the printer is being shared through a server. If clients were attaching
directly to the printer, it would have to be changed on each client manually
