Changing EWF Setting after FBA Completion

I have a CWF card that I have working nicely using a RAM overlay, is it
possible to change to a disk overlay once the FBA has completed? If so how do
I do this, it doesn’t seem to be an option in the ewfmgr, is there something
I can do in the registry that would allow me to change from a RAM overlay to
a disk overlay?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,

Why do you need this?

After FBA you can change EWF parameters used during the FBA by function ewfdll:ConfigureEwf.

First delete ewf volume and put changes in registry then call "rundll32 ewfdll.dll CofigureEwf"

My basic line of thinking was that we would be able to build an image that
could be flexible, some of our devices have hard drives (some of their
applications run to 4Gb) whilst others will only require the O/S and a few
extra apps small apps, but tend to run in more hostile environments, where
flash is required for reliability. The idea was that we would be able to
build one image that we were happy with and just configure it to the
different scenarios, apologies for the slow response, I’ve been away from my
desk for a few days.

Hi Rob,

Why don't you use RAM overlay for all of them?

Slobodan,

The large apps that we have are very memory intensive so page files are
required. Since we are trying to keep the BOM as low as possible whilst still
having high reliability and as high a powered units as possible. It’s a bit
of a mess in terms of requirements. Each terminal must be cheap, but at the
same time as powerful as the average top notch gamers PC.

Cheers for all your input.
