Is there a way to change audio files with a .CDA ext that are on a CD to
files that will play on Windows Media Player with out using the CD? I want
to copy the files from the CD to my hard drive and convert them.

My suggestion would be to convert them to .mp3s. Then they could be used
with MP, or various other players. I also suggest QCD player, you can open
your cd in it, and convert them all at once to MP3. Beyond that, there are
probably some other converters that are free that you could use (or at least
for a trial period). Do a google search of audio converters or try
www.zdnet.com and click downloads.

the link to QCD player is www.quinnware.com

Jim,

You need to convert the CD Audio tracks to MP3 / Wav or WMA format and store
in the hard disk.
