CDA designates an audio file that will be playable on standalone CD players.
An MP3 is a an audio data file that can be played by mp3 utilities, which as
usually found on PCs.
Most, but not all, standalone players won't handle them.
A "CDA" file stands for Compact Disc Audio and contains the data required to
play the music, like an MP3, but in a different format. MP3 stands for Moving
Photographic Experts Group Layer 3 audio, derived from MPG files (Moving
Photographic Experts Group Videos).
CDA is not so much a file format as pointers to tracks on an audio CD.
You can't make ".CDA format" files on your PC that you would listen to.
