mp3 files

just wondering if anyone has a soloution for my problem ? i just cannot seem
to play mp3 files cda or wma files without receiving the (windows needs to
find the program to associate with ) i then click on the the program media
player and it will open i also check the box to always play it the program
and keeps going back to the message. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Try opening WMP,tools,options,file types tab,select all box,apply.Otherwise,
download windows media encoder 9 series,in the encoder,select "convert
audio/video" locate the file,convert.Once thru,playback in WMP.

thank you so much for replying but this did not fix the problem. i looked
into the folder view and file associates and noticed that no audio files
were listed so i entered a new file mp3 and tried to save this file
extension no luck as soon as i close and reopen this folder it just
dissapears and also i noticed when i click on advanced tab it will not work
the other file extensions do operate ok it is just audio extentions mp3 cda
wma so on. thanks again for any help.

i also noticed in winamp that those file extensions were not being able to
be checked off not sure if some program is trying to remove these
extensions.

problem solved i just reinstalled real player and got my files back thanks
again for some of the tips.
